I like the idea of the brown grounding us to Earth! I have the outside of my house green for the same reason. The green outside is the Earth while the blue inside is the sky.

When I have trouble grounding, I do go out and dig in the Earth, in my garden, and my flower beds, and I walk in the grass. I am very much drawn to the colours of blue, green and brown, and as I think about them, I realize it is for the grounding, the healing and the loving. Blessings!

What a lovely idea! Thanks for sharing it. I do not do Reiki, however, it seems very appropriate to do a "loving kindness" blessing while I paint. It is, for me, like cooking with love. Many blessings!

Painting my house, to me, is about loving and honouring my home. And in turn, loving and honouring my spouse and all who dwell in our home. As I prepare the paint, I center myself and am completely in the moment. I send reiki to the paint and apply it to the walls with serenity and love. Many who enter our home, pause then say 'what a lovely feeling in here....

I found this interesting as I went from a coral color on my main floor to a coffee brown...and an outside painter to boot. My daughter now says our house no longer looks like an Easter egg! I chose the brown as I felt it grounded me to earth...and when I paint there is paint everywhere!! I think though there is truth to an outside source vs painting it yourself with confidence.
